Can Valley Vital Medicine help me?
While there are no guarantees of any results, if we determine together during the Discovery Call that we are a good fit for working together, the vast majority of patients will see results that may vary from significant improvement to full resolution of their symptoms. Results will vary from patient to patient depending on how long symptoms have been present, how aggressive we choose to be in our evaluation and treatment, and how involved you are willing to be in your care.
How much will this cost?
This varies from person to person, because your evaluation is most likely going to be different than your friend or family member. During your Free Discovery call, if we decide that we are a good fit for each other, we will discuss the cost of the lab work and Case Review at that time. You will also receive a personalized estimate, where you can approve or modify the proposed evaluation.
Are you covered by my insurance? What about Medicare or Medicaid?
In my striving to keep costs down for patients, I have elected to keep Valley Vital Medicine “insurance free”. In other words, as we work together, we are not restricted to what your insurance thinks is appropriate for you. The costs and time involved with submitting your care to your insurance that may not be covered results in significant savings, which allows for more time with you and less expense. Another benefit to this is transparency. I can tell you before any lab, appointment, or supplement prescription exactly what you can expect to pay. Medicare and Medicaid are also not accepted, and no reimbursement may be submitted for these.
Will you submit my visit costs to my insurance?
Because I am not enrolled with your insurance company, I am not able to submit forms to your insurance for you. However, at your request, I am more than willing to provide you with a super bill, which contains the codes needed for you to submit to your insurance. At their discretion, they may reimburse you for services or apply any costs to your deductible.
Is Valley Vital Medicine accepting new patients?
Yes, I am currently accepting new patients.
How do I make an appointment?
First, take your Free Health Assessment. You will need to complete the Assessment once you confirm your email address. This is mandatory to complete before your Free Discovery Call.
Second, you will need to register for my Patient Portal. From inside the Patient Portal, once you confirm your email, you need to click on My Appointments and select the appointment type: Step 1- 30 Minute Discovery Call. Once this is received, you will receive a confirmation and I will call you at the phone number listed when you create your Patient Portal account. Beyond this, any further appointments for lab draw, Case Review, or further follow-ups can be made from within the Patient Portal inside the My Appointments tab.

How long until I start feeling better?
There are many variables that determine this. The earlier you are in your experience of your symptoms, likely the faster we can achieve results. Also, this relies heavily on how involved you are willing to be in your treatment plan. Lifestyle and dietary changes are an integral part of every treatment plan. If you would like help in making these changes, we have a Health Coach here in Spark Natural Health who can help you to be as successful as possible.
Will you be my Primary Care Practitioner?
Valley Vital Medicine operates as a specialty Functional Medicine consultation practice. As such, Primary Care services are not provided. I strongly encourage each of my patients to have their own Primary Care Provider and I will communicate with them regarding your plan of care as needed.
Do you work with children?
I work with children older than 10 regularly. Younger than that depends on the situation/concern. I will discuss this with their parent or legal guardian on a Free Discovery Call.
Who is on your team?
Currently, Valley Vital Medicine is located inside Spark Natural Health. Each of the staff here work together and will collaborate at times, but none are a direct employee of Valley Vital Medicine. If you contact Spark Natural Health, our amazing receptionist, Brooke will likely be the one to answer your call. Other providers at this location include a Health Coach, Naturopathic Physician, Counselor, and Massage Therapist.
